altVERMONT – US-based organisation has been awarded a grant from the Ford Foundation, to continue its work on sustainable cashmere fibre production in Inner Mongolia, China.

The not-for-profit organisation, which was also recently involved in the development of the new ISO 26000 Global Social Responsibility Standard, says new funding from the Ford Foundation will help it to support goat and camel herders' cooperatives and local factories in the region to develop a more sustainable system.
