Proactive action against child labour

Delhi - Chief Minister Shiela Dikshit launched the ‘Time for Change’ campaign against child labour and asked police to proactively take action against offenders.

The Sindh Today reports that speaking at the campaign launch event commemorating International Children’s Day, Dikshit exhorted police and NGOs to take proactive action against child labour.

“There is a need to sensitise police and NGOs including the general public,” an official statement quoted her as saying.
