Different organisations held several programmes in the city demanding compensation from the developed countries for the consequences of climate change.

The Daily Star reports that Shushashoner Jonney Procharavijan (Supro), also known as Campaign for Good Governance, formed a human chain in front of the National Museum to draw the attention of the world leaders and the countries responsible for carbon emissions in the climate summit that started in Copenhagen the same day.
