Minimum wage issue puts Bangladesh garment sector in dire straits

Bangladesh - Since 14 June some 200 people including 20 police officers have been injured in clashes between garment workers and police in Bangladesh's industrial belt of Ashulia, resulting in the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA)'s decision to temporary shut down production in over 50 factories.
