Barcelona - Western Europe’s linen industry has received a welcome boost with a multi-mullion euro cash injection that will be used to raise awareness of the fabric’s environmentally sustainable message.
Co-financed by the European Union, the French government and the linen industry body CELC Masters of Linen, the funds, totalling around €3.3 million, will be used to promote the industry as part of the Be Linen campaign, a three-year programme designed to elevate and endorse linen’s reputation as an eco-friendly fibre and fabric capable of competing with other natural fibre industries.
