Bangladesh cracks down on polluting factories

Bangladesh - Three garment factories in Gazipur have been fined by the government with an amount of Tk 11 million (about EUR 100,000) for operating without environmental certificates. Two of the fined factories have been asked to shut down operations for polluting the environment.
