SINGAPORE – DyStar has teamed up with Swiss company RedElec to develop an electrochemical method of directly reducing indigo in a bid to produce a more eco-friendly way of dyeing denim fabrics that removes harmful substances and reduces waste water from the process. The team will use its patented products, DyStar Indigo Vat 40% Solution and RedElec’s electrochemical technologies, throughout the development process.
