MUTTENZ - The Swiss specialty chemicals company Clariant is to double its production capacity for environmentally friendly flame retardants. Clariant supplies several non-halogenated flame retardants, and in response to a growing demand, says it’s is investing a double-digit million sum and doubling its production capacity for these products with the opening of a second plant at the Hürth-Knapsack site near Cologne, Germany.
