LONDON – The recent horsemeat scandal offers a salutary lesson for clothing brands by showing how longer and more dispersed supply chains make it harder to ensure transparency and accountability. That was the view presented by Baroness Lady Young of Hornsey, chair of the All-Party Parliamentary Group on Ethics and Sustainability in Fashion, during a recent House of Lords debate on ethical and sustainable fashion.
