Yarn conesBELGIUM – A ‘breakthrough’ additive technology, which claims to allow polypropylene fibres to be dyed and printed using traditional textile processes, was revealed this month in Germany. The newly released technology, something that the textile sector has been working on for decades, comes shortly after the Sustainable Apparel Coalition assigned solution-dyed polypropylene a high environmental score as part of its newly released sustainable materials index.
