WASHINGTON – Seventeen retailers including Walmart, Gap, Macy’s and Target, collectively part of the Alliance for Bangladesh Worker Safety alongside trade associations including the American Apparel & Footwear Association and the National Retail Federation, have today announced in Washington further details of the Bangladesh Worker Safety Initiative, which includes timelines and goals for factory inspections, garment worker training and progress reports, in addition to increased involvement with the Bangladesh government.
