LONDON – The Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals Group (ZDHC Group) today released the results of a benchmarking project to examine influent and effluent at 20 textile supplier factories in Bangladesh, China, India, Taiwan and Vietnam. Findings were mixed, with only 11% of the suppliers holding complete, correct information on file for the chemicals they were using. On the other hand, none of the factories were releasing untreated wastewater into a surface water body or to a municipal treatment system.
