Written by John Mowbray

reachHELSINKI – Two thirds of inspected downstream chemical users have been found to be non-compliant with one or more provisions of REACH or CLP (Classification, Labelling and Packaging) obligations in a major European survey of more than 1,000 companies. Non-compliance issues included registration and notification contraventions, not providing proper information on hazardous chemicals downstream, and poor application of risk management measures.
