FTC proposes wool labelling changes

WASHINGTON – As part of its current systematic review of all current FTC rules and guides, The US Federal Trade Commission is seeking public comment on proposed changes to its Wool Products Labelling Rules, which require that labels on wool products such as textiles disclose the manufacturer’s or marketer’s name, the country where the product was processed or manufactured, and information about the fibre content. Comments must be received by November 25, 2013.
