USA and Australia partner on responsible cotton

Written by John Mowbray

Cotton leadsNEW YORK – Cotton Australia and Cotton Incorporated have today launched the new ‘Cotton Leads’ program, which aims to highlight the responsible and transparent way that cotton is grown in Australia and the United States. The new initiative includes conventional and organic upland and pima cotton grown in Australia and the United States, which together account for around 17 per cent of global cotton production. The two partners emphasise the new program will complement, rather than compete with, existing cotton sustainability certification programs.
