Workers set for wage increase

Bangladesh flagBANGLADESH – A new minimum wage structure for garment workers in Bangladesh is set to be announced this week, though the figure is not estimated to reach the ‘living wage’ deemed necessary to cover the housing, nutritional, healthcare and educational needs of Bangladesh garment workers, as calculated by campaign group Asia Floor Wage Alliance.
