LONDON – A new report suggests China’s intensive cotton farming culture, which the authors claim has led to by far the highest unit yields in the world, is not sustainable and that the adoption of new farming technologies and reform of current intensive techniques “is inevitable to support sustainable cotton production in the nation.”
