China exposé names western clothing brands

Water testingNew wastewater discharge regulations introduced into China’s textile industry earlier this year are being systematically flouted by the country’s dyeing and finishing sector according to a new investigation by China’s Institute of Public & Environmental Affairs. In a briefing of the report supplied to Ecotextile News today, IPE claims that many of these mills work with leading brands – such as Polo Ralph Lauren, Abercrombie & Fitch, Uniqlo and Calvin Klein.
