AMSTERDAM – The huge challenges faced by clothing brands in eliminating toxic chemicals from their supply chain are highlighted by the latest Greenpeace report which found that 50 of the 82 children’s clothing products they analysed –from 12 leading clothing brands – contained Nonylphenol ethoxylates (NPEs). Levels ranged from just above 1 mg/kg (the limit of detection) up to 17,000 mg/kg.
