Levis develops water-saving standard

LeviSAN FRANCISCO - Levi Straus & Co is claiming an industry first with the launch of a new standard for water recycling and reuse in apparel manufacturing. The standard provides its supplier facilities with detailed technical guidelines to help them re-use and recycle water - and reduce fresh water usage - and Levi says it will share it with other textile industry stakeholders.
