Garment factory safety equipment taxed

Retail associationsBANGLADESH - Apparel, footwear and retail groups from the United States and Canada have written to Bangladesh prime minister Sheikh Hasina Wazed urging his government to act upon an announcement of support for the elimination of duties paid on Bangladesh imports of fire and building safety equipment, which the associations say would accelerate efforts to improve garment worker safety in Bangladesh.
