Toray achieves fully plant-based polyester yarn

FRIEDRICHSHAFEN – Japanese company Toray says it has developed a lab-scale 100 per cent bio-based polyester yarn, which will eventually be marketed under its ‘Ecodear’ brand when it completes commercialisation.
