FRANKFURT – Welcome for the first time to designers from across Europe, the third Young Creations Award: Upcycling was showcased at Heimtextil, aiming to show the potential of sustainable procurement and production. The award asked students to create a product which incorporates upcycling criteria. Entrants were asked to ensure their prototypes were partly made of reused materials, with a minimum textile content of 30 per cent.
