Carpet certifier tackles child labour

WASHINGTON - Child labour free rugs certifier GoodWeave is welcoming comments on a new draft certification standard, aiming to improve labour conditions and expand the organisation’s social responsibility reach.

Described as the only independent child labour free certification for rugs, GoodWeave works to end child labour in the carpet industry and offer educational opportunities to children in India, Afghanistan and Nepal.
