Brands 'silent' on Uzbek cotton sourcing

OAKLAND  Benetton, L Brands and Forever 21 are among a dozen apparel and home textiles brands which are claimed to be ignoring requests asking how they are helping prevent Uzbek cotton picked through forced labour entering their supply chains. The Responsible Sourcing Network (RSN) surveyed 49 brands last year on the issue, ranking them according to their actions in this area – and has followed up its findings with updated brands ‘scores’ and suggestions.
