Wool ‘on trend’ as customers seek natural products

ZHANGJIAGANG – Wool is currently 'on trend' as customers increasingly seek natural products with strong environmental credentials – that was one of the main messages from this year's annual congress of the International Wool Textile Organisation (IWTO) which recently took place in China. There was a strong sustainability theme throughout the three days of the conference. "[Sustainability is] an issue we can't escape from," said Dr Paul Swan, general manager, research at Australian Wool Innovation. "It is not so much what we think about sustainability, as what the market thinks of us."
