GOTHENBURG - A new online resource has been launched which aims to help SMEs in the textile industry to find, evaluate and replace hazardous chemicals in their products and processes. The guide claims to offer apparel brands a 'Google for chemicals'-style searchable database which contains information on more than 6,500 chemicals, all of it based on international legislation and the Restricted Substances Lists (RSLs) of multinational brands and textile trade organisations. No registration is needed and there are no hidden fees for using the tool.
