Synthetic spider silk breakthrough in US

CALIFORNIA – Emeryville-based advanced materials technology start-up Bolt Threads is calling for potential partners and textile innovators to join forces with them after announcing claims of a breakthrough technology for the production of synthetic spider silk, which is now being backed with investment totalling US$40 million. Tony Whitfield talks to Jamie Bainbridge, Bolt's vice president of product development.
