TASHKENT - Six people, including a two-year-old boy, have died in circumstances related to Uzbekistan's recent cotton harvest according to the latest dispatch from the Uzbek-German Forum for Human Rights. The boy died while his mother picked cotton under risk of losing her job as a teacher, while three others died when a cargo truck transporting them to the cotton fields crashed. The UGF has called on the Uzbek government, International Labour Organisation and World Bank to address reports of the latest violations.
