Mistra predicts commercial fibre recovery in five years

STOCKHOLM – Researchers in Sweden claim that within five years it could be possible to begin demo-scale commercial textile material recovery and textile recycling. "This presupposes, however, that processes are optimised, hazardous chemicals found in textiles can be managed and that replacing virgin with recycled fibre is feasible," say the researchers.
