China textile factories close for EU visitors

SUZHOU – The Chinese government's battle to curb pollution from its textile industry took on a new twist recently when production at 300 textile, printing and dyeing factories was limited or suspended as Suzhou, a city in the Jiangsu province, hosted a high profile sustainability event for delegates from Europe.
