“Appalling” working conditions uncovered in Bangalore

BANGALORE – The findings of a two-year research project into working conditions in the garment sector of Bangalore have revealed a damning picture of "appalling working conditions," low wages, and a lack of worker rights where young female workers are "isolated from the local people."
