COPENHAGEN – The potential for recycling used clothing could be hindered by chemical substances contained in used textile products according to new research from the Danish Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) which suggests recycling outdoor clothing risks increasing exposure to potentially harmful chemicals, such as perfluorinated substances (PFCs).
