Brand boycotts “won’t help workers”

GENEVA - Boycotting fashion brands won't help improve the lives of garment factory workers, and only collaborations between brands and trade unions offer a chance to bring about change. That's the view of Jenny Holdcroft, policy director at Industriall Global Union who, in a powerful dispatch during the recent Fashion Revolution Week, asked, "why should garment workers endure poor wages and working conditions when they are contributing to the phenomenal profits of global brands?"
