Written by John Mowbray

ADDIS ABABA – DBL Group, one of the largest exporters of ready-made garments in Bangladesh, and Swedish state-owned emerging markets investment organisation, Swedfund, have announced plans to establish a textile factory in Ethiopia, which will provide 4,000 jobs. H&M has pledged to be a long time buyer from the factory which, it is claimed, will place emphasis on good working conditions and environmental considerations. H&M already works with eight supplier factories in Ethiopia, a fast growing textile sourcing hub.
