PARIS - A new French report has stuck the boot into Nike, adidas and Puma, claiming the sports brands' huge sponsorship deals with the ongoing Euro 2016 Football tournament is at odds with their refusal to pay living wages in supplier countries and constant shifting into new sourcing locations where wages are low and worker protection is less formalised. The report also cites evidence which suggests garment factory workers typically earned US $0.65 cents for each football jersey they worked on for Euro 2016, while such tops are typically retailing for €85.
