Prestigious award for recycled textile waste project

Written by Tommy Lee

LYON - An EU-backed project which recycles technical textile waste – initially from airbags – into high-quality polyamide 6,6 grades has received a renowned award from the French government. International chemical group Solvay has won the Pierre Potier Prize in the ‘Process’ category for its Move4earth project. The company, which last year announced the development of an industrial-scale facility in Poland to continue its work in this field, received the award from Emmanuel Macron, the French Economy, Industry and Digital Sector Minister.
