ZURICH - Textile certification business, Oeko-Tex, has launched a new tool which is designed to help textile production facilities to communicate their progress in meeting the targets laid out by Greenpeace's detox campaign, which is calling for the complete elimination of 11 potentially hazardous chemicals. Detox to Zero by Oeko-Tex will enable manufacturers along the textile chain to check the status of their chemical management systems as well as the quality of their wastewater and sludge, all of which the new tool will document using independent verification.
