AMSTERDAM - The Sustainable Apparel Coalition (SAC) is one of four new contributors to the work of the Zero Discharge of Hazardous Chemicals (ZDHC) Programme. The collaboration, which has been mooted for some considerable time, comes as little surprise given the obvious synergies between the two organisations, however, it will be interesting to see whether, by working more closely, these two wide-reaching organisations - whose members represent a large proportion of the global apparel supply chain - really can achieve their stated aim of reducing "duplication and confusion of standards within the textile and footwear value chain."
