NEW YORK – Conservation NGO Canopy has launched a new report which ranks the performance of the largest rayon-viscose fabric producers in the world. The report notes that manufacturers such as Lenzing and Aditya Birla are among eight producers who have already shared sourcing data with Canopy to map out their supply of raw material. The report uses a Greenpeace Catwalk style ranking tactic to assess manufacturers on their risk of sourcing from ancient and endangered forests and also looking at where improvements are required.
