Upcycled ocean waste project extends to Thailand

MADRID - A project which sees yarn being spun from polymers derived from plastic bottles which have been collected from the sea alongside the catch of hundreds of Spanish fishing boats is now being extended to Thailand. The Up-cycling the Oceans initiative of Madrid-based Ecoalf sees Spanish fishing boats in the Mediterranean collecting deep sea plastic waste alongside their daily catch to ultimately produce apparel.
