CALIFORNIA - US outdoor brand Patagonia will give 100 per cent of global sales on Black Friday this year to support grassroots environmental organisations. The notable gesture is an extension of a sustainability strategy which also sees the company donating 1 per cent of global sales to environmental groups on a daily basis. The Sierra Club, Nature Conservancy, and the Wilderness Society are among more than 1,000 groups that could benefit from the move, and industry estimates suggest around US$2m could be generated.
