Concern on ‘arbitrary’ retail textile chemical bans

PARIS – European textile chemical formulators are becoming increasingly concerned that some brands and retailers are determined to embark on a ‘competition’ to have the strictest manufacturing substance (MRSL) limits – irrespective of whether these chemicals are being used in their collections which in some cases are also approved by third-party environmental standards.
