DHAKA - Researchers who interviewed more than 1,000 workers in Bangladesh's ready-made garment (RMG) sector claim working conditions continue to be unacceptable for most of the workers in the industry despite a raft of initiatives following the Rana Plaza disaster. Among other things, the report claims textile industry reforms have focused only on tier one and tier two suppliers and are often voluntary in nature. The report also claims the Bangladesh government fails to adequately enforce labour laws.
