ZURICH – Swiss textiles standard Oeko-Tex is to launch a new certification for leather goods that have been tested for harmful substances. From 2017 onwards, producers and suppliers of leather goods will be able to have their products certified to be tested for harmful substances through the new leather standard, which was launched during the annual meeting of the general managers of the Oeko-Tex institutes in Ostend, Belgium.
