COPENHAGEN - New Danish research estimates that industry-wide environmental and social compliance for the Bangladeshi ready-made-garment (RMG) industry would cost $US2-3 billion. The researchers claim that carrying out such investments could boost garment exports by around ten per cent and help to ensure the country reaches its export target of $US50bn.
