MELBOURNE – The Centre for the Advancement of Science in Space (CASIS) has opened its Cotton Sustainability Challenge, which encourages researchers to develop solutions which will benefit cotton production, particularly by ensuring less water is used in the manufacturing process. Researchers will send their innovations to the International Space Station (ISS) that will focus on the affordability and environmental impact of cotton production, CASIS says.
