More brands sign sustainable cotton initiative

WASHINGTON – 36 apparel brands and textile manufacturers have today joined the 13 original Sustainable Cotton Communique signatories in a pledge to use 100 per cent sustainable cotton by the year 2025. The announcement came at the annual Textile Exchange Sustainability Conference, which this year features more than 500 textile and apparel brands which have gathered to discuss sustainability issues facing the industry.
