WAALWIJK – Solidaridad, Stahl and PUM have launched a public-private partnership in an attempt to clean up the Ganges river. The companies say the project aims to lower the environmental impact of the Kanpur Leather Cluster by implementing new working methods and modern technologies. The five year project specifically plans to target water use and pollution from the cluster, which is responsible for high levels of pollution in the Ganges.
