Study diagnoses garment sector failings

Written by David Styles

SUSSEX – Research from the University of Sussex Anthropology department claims that fast fashion is continually harming the health of garment workers in countries including India and Bangladesh.

The study suggests health issues such as eye strains and exhaustion are faced by around 40 per cent of workers, with more than half of garment sector workers working a standard shift of 10-12 hours.
